If someone at Yamaha is reading this, could you please release a firmware update for the Yamaha Reface CP so that the toy piano setting plays the hidden grand piano sound instead? To get the hidden piano sound: 1. Turn Reface CP off. 2. Turn piano sound knob so it rests in between any two settings. 3. Turn Reface CP on. The Reface CP is one of my favorite small keys piano instruments, and I got one specifically for the hidden piano sound, but it’s annoying to have to go through the above steps and I’m not experienced enough to mod the circuitry.

Learning to play an instrument is fun and can be just as addicting. I'd recommend a small form keyboard that can be kept nearby at all times. I adore my Yamaha Reface CP, if you manage to find one. The best part - grinding through chords, arpeggios, scales and challenging song sections to get them into muscle memory can be done while watching unrelated videos.

Yamaha Reface CP: I can't believe how pleasurable this whole package is to play. Synth snobs look down, there are more versatile alternatives, and it as it looks like a toy, but the keys are amazing, the sound is amazing, and it runs off batteries through built in speakers. No setup required. It's one of the first bits of music tech I got that actually helps write music. Looking at a Little Martin next as if the gear snobs were wrong about 88 key hammer action, maybe they are wrong about solid top jumbo acoustic guitars. M1 MacBook Air: The hype is real. I've only managed to get this thing hot to the touch once, battery life for days, and living off grid, my 12V battery never runs dry. My work Intel MacBook, the most expensive one they do on the other hand, crashes constantly, drains over 90W of juice, and does so even more when connected to an external display. Dr Bronner's Magic Soap: Dissolve the liquid in a foaming hand dispenser, or use the bar soap and it lasts for months!
