Sony Xperia 10 IV

I get what you are saying. I'm coming from a Sony Xperia 10 IV with a width of 68 mm and it was perfect, albeit a bit tall (21:9 format). Now I use a Motorola Edge 60 Neo with a width of nearly 71 mm with the "traditional" 16:9 format. It is almost as tall and just slightly out of reach of one-handed use for me. The Minimal 2 is wider at 72 mm, the Clicks is even wider. I'm going to look at the Razr, it's frustrating.

I recently bought a Sony Xperia 10 IV and the battery easily lasts 4 days. Performance is great too, at least for my usage (I don't play games on the phone though).

If you want a plastic phone with microSD, 3.5mm, IP68 and somewhat current specs, the Sony Xperia lineup is actually offering that. I recently bought an Xperia 10 IV and I'm really happy with it.

My Sony Xperia 10 IV lets you set it to never charge above 90 or 80 %, as an alternative to it learning your habits. I have it set to 80%, and I've been unable to use it up in under 2 days. I've heard that iPhones have similarly good battery life as the 10 IV, so it seems, to me, that get quite far on 80%.

I just cracked the screen on my Pixel 5a yesterday and ordered an Xperia 10 IV this morning to replace it thanks to this thread. I've owned an Xperia Z3 Compact and Z5 Compact previously and was quite happy with them. In fact the Z5C still does bicycle computer duty today. I paid all of $340 for the (brand new) Xperia 10 IV. Not sure how that's not a competitive price for the features and quality you get.

the problem is not smartphone but people without self control you can use smartphone exactly same way as dumbphone and still have smart features available when needed problem with dumbphones is mainly horrible camera, so you would need to carry camera if you wanna capture something, smartphone with self control solves this issue, nobody forces you to use anything but Phone and Messages apps and you will still have great camera and GPS, which are both lacking at dumbphones if you use phone this way you should have pretty great battery life even with smartphone, you can choose some power efficient SoC combined with huge battery, for instance in Sony Xperia 10 IV, which is also relatively compact (narrow, but longer) if you wanna save your time delete all social media apps and preferably also block these sites in browser, then also turn off notifications for everything but Phone and Messages, eventually Email if you need and your problem is solved if you wanna go a bit more extreme you could use custom ROM without gapps, but honestly as someone using this config for almost decade I am hardly limited by apps because pretty much everything works even without gapps
