I have a Sony Xperia 10 III with SailfishOS and it easily does 48 hours on a charge when I'm not doing a lot of screen time. Also on days when I use it for tracking / navigation on 6-8 hour bicycle rides it easily lasts for the entire day and then some. I think this is not bad for a device that has been in daily use for almost three years and still has the original battery. I'm running a couple of messenger clients and a web browser (Fennec under Android App Support as the native one is sadly a bit behind the times currently) all the time. The only thing I've noticed to eat a ton of battery is having wifi enabled when outside the range of my own networks, it seems the scanning the phone does in the background to look for known wifi networks is not energy efficient at all.

I get what you are saying. I'm coming from a Sony Xperia 10 IV with a width of 68 mm and it was perfect, albeit a bit tall (21:9 format). Now I use a Motorola Edge 60 Neo with a width of nearly 71 mm with the "traditional" 16:9 format. It is almost as tall and just slightly out of reach of one-handed use for me. The Minimal 2 is wider at 72 mm, the Clicks is even wider. I'm going to look at the Razr, it's frustrating.

This will become increasingly important as Google has boiled the frog too fast while trying to force its new store policies + banning sideloading; however, all of the pieces are now in place for them to try again in a year or 2, which history shows us they will. It’s certainly time to start toying with Linux phones if you haven’t already. This year I picked up an Xperia 10 to flash Sailfish OS on—which has rough edges (many of the hardware issues should be fixed in the next release), but Android App support bridges some of the gaps in application support.

I use Sailfish on an Xperia 10 mod. III. Unfortunately the only Xperia models which support the full Sailfish w/Android compatibility are the way too long ones. I intensely dislike long phones. I miss my old Jolla phone (they're the maker of Sailfish), it was perfect but developed a technical problem after many years. The Xperia is clumsy when compared to the Jolla phone. Glass surfaces back and front (who thought that was a good idea? Glass is slippery, and glass breaks), sometimes slips from my hand, or wherever I put it if it's not 100% flat. Glass..well, you get the idea what happens then..

Google removed jack from Pixel, and I went shopping for an alternative when my last pixel broke down. Here is my filter: https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?chk35mm=selected&sSIMT... Ip68 is important. I went with xperia 10, and am positively surprised. Fits all the checkboxes and less undesired software than google. I don't have the mandatory search bar in the front screen!

Sony Xperia 5v and 10v are two current phones that reasonably sized and still have a headphone jack and memory card slot. Not the flagship Xperia 1v though, I think that one's a bit bigger.
