Agreed. I keep my iPhone in my right pocket and my Ricoh GRIIIx in my left pocket whenever I go out. It’s such a fantastic camera given its size, especially with the APSC sensor in such a compact body. I also have a Sony A7C but I haven’t used it since getting the Ricoh. Being pocketable is a massive factor in how much I use a camera.

It doesn't match my experience. It's easier to take a decent photo n rough conditions on the iPhone, than a camera. I have Sony a6400, Ricoh grIIIx, Fuji X100V and X-T5. With the iPhone (and androids too) you just point and shoot. With the cameras you do have to fiddle way more or use bracketing and still edit later. The phone does bracketing for you without you even noticing. Plus, the iPhone at least (not sure about android) very easily remove people walking behind the thing you were photographing

Personally I love my Ricoh GR III. There are two versions, one is 28mm and another is 40mm (GR IIIX). They are fixed lens which sounds bad, but in reality it prevents you from constantly thinking about buying new lenses and switching lenses. There is essentially no other camera that can fit in your pocket. So if you want interchangeable lens, it kinda doesn't matter what you get at all because they will all require a camera bag. EDIT: btw, when buying camera gear I highly suggest buying used, places like keh, mpb and b&h used department are great and I've never had a problem.
