Mine (11th gen framework 13) is. I have to keep it in battery saver mode or the fans just spin up when it's idle. They come up anyway (and irregularly) when watching a movie, loud enough to be heard over the movie -- though that may also be partly the fault of the milquetoast speakers that also inexplicably point down (so if you're watching something in bed you'll need to find a hard surface to put it on so that the sound isn't completely muffled). That said, i have a macbook pro for work and macOS infuriates me, i would not trade my framework for any apple device under any circumstances. I love my framework more than any laptop I've ever owned. I just wish the hardware was more polished.

My Framework is easily the best laptop I've ever owned. I purchased the original 11th gen model from a local friend who was "bored" of it Other than the rather "meh" speakers (which they offered a replacement for after releasing the largely compatible 'Chromebook' model) I've yet to really have any major complaints about the device I went as far as pre-ordering the 13th gen i5 upgrade board, complete with a Windows 11 upgrade (rather than reinstall). Amazingly the machine actually feels faster than it did with the original top-end 11th gen i7, along with having significantly improved battery life due to the newer more efficient chip I've got an open pre-order for the AMD model due "Late Q3" that I'm extremely excited for. I could upgrade piecemeal to it as I've done with the 13th gen model but it seems easier to simply purchase the whole machine outright and then use the older as a source of parts if needed If Framework could finally get Coreboot support it would quite likely be the perfect laptop for me. Until then though it's the only laptop I'm willing to personally recommend to friends

My wife and I each got an 11th Gen Framework in late 2021, and I think it's mostly this - e.g. my wife wanted an HDMI port and I didn't - but I've also found reason to switch ports around a few times. It's certainly not everyday, but I've had a few different workspace arrangements where sometimes it was better to have my charging port on one side or the other; not strictly necessary, but nicer for cable management. Next month I might borrow my wife's HDMI port when I need to give a few presentations.

"This item is not compatible with the Framework Laptop" Bit weird that they'd be selling it themselves. But I suppose if it helps pay the bills and gives the engineers something to do for a bit I am quite thrilled with my Framework laptop. Though the speakers are a bit weak and the battery life is very "eh, not great". I've been eyeing off a replacement 12th gen motherboard upgrade as soon as I can figure out what I want to do with the "old" 11th gen one
