So on the topic of color space on iPads (that reference mode): I commented the other day that though all my recent Apple products have excellent color space they are all out of calibration. I decided to TRY calibrating my iPad Pro 11 (first gen) during Sidecar. The results were... not good. ~91% sRGB and ~71% DCI-P3. It's noticeably desaturated compared to running native. Likely some USB compression; I'm wondering if they got around that by implementing the "reference" link via Thunderbolt, or just created a specific pairing and are doing something akin to FRC in the compression. I'd be interested to know, but likely they aren't going to tell us.

I have one of these for my 11 Pro. It’s lighter than my Air and much more portable. https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/ipad-keyboards/folio... My iPad has better battery, cellular, etc… Do I use it to code, no, but that is because I don’t really code anymore. I have used it along with parallels access to remote in to my Air from literally across the world, and run VSCode to troubleshoot some code for a friend. It worked fine. Anymore it’s become my travel machine.

Is it just me, or do these iPad reviews really seem strained? Like the author is trying really hard to love their new toy, despite the functional setbacks. Don't get me wrong, I love my iPad Pro 11 too and look forward to using it as a writing/notes device, but you'll never take my Mac away except out of my cold, dead, hands.

No real OS but I use an iPad pro 11, mostly because it never fails to work (including it’s excellent battery life and fast charging). For a real OS; I am still looking; I found the surface pro annoying after a while (and the one I had had miserable battery life). For now only intentionally hampered devices work for me in commute; either too small (Pocket or Pandora) or limited OS (Android/iOS). All other I tried are either too big or crap battery life; even the big winners like Lenovo X* or T* or macbook pro really do not have more than a few hour battery for my workflow.
